Gladstone schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 due to inclement weather. All activities and events are canceled.
No school Monday, 1/15/24 due to Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday
We are closing schools on 1/12/24 three hours early. The dismissal time for each school is as follows:
Gladstone Center for Children and Families 12:00
Wetten Elementary School 11:20
Kraxberger Middle School 12:10
Gladstone High School 12:00
This could change if the weather system moves in earlier in the day.
We're sorry for the disruption an early release creates for families but we do want to make sure students and staff can get home safely.
A sack lunch will be provided for students who normally choose a school provided lunch.
All activities and events for Friday will be canceled, and extended day will be closed in the afternoon.
URGENT: All Gladstone School District schools and programs have a two-hour late start this morning due to current power outages. School start times and buses will be 2 hours late today, Monday, November 6th. We will keep you informed if power is not fully restored. Thank you.
Statewide testing data released today shows that Gladstone School District students have improved about 9% in math and 6% in English language arts during the past school year. With scores up significantly from the previous year, Gladstone’s 11th-grade English language arts students exceeded the state average by 11.5%.
Wetten third graders improved about 8% in math, where they exceeded the state average by 22%. Our third graders now are also over 10% above the state average for English language arts, through their hard work in this area in partnership with community members.
