Thank you to members of the Gladstone Pickleball Club who on Oct. 23 donated $4,000 to the Gladstone Food Pantry at Kraxberger Middle School, a partnership among the school district, the Oregon Food Bank and Northwest Family Services.
This year our pantry is especially in need of all types of support, whether they be your financial contributions, donations of food or your volunteer time. We saw an increase in the number of families seeking food this week, with over a dozen families using our service who had never before sought help from a food pantry, on top of the many families who have already needed weekly support.
The pickleball club should also be commended for donating thousands of dollars annually to Gladstone youth sports programs.
