Our partnership between the Gladstone Arts Fair and Gladstone High School’s Art Club had an auspicious beginning in GHS art teacher Chris Rich's classroom.
Several students met after school with Sara Star, a professional artist from Gladstone who’s organizing the June 1 fair. Star offered students a free booth at the festival in exchange for organizing a community art project. In addition to selling their art, students are invited to participate in the festival’s open mic.
The fair from noon-4 p.m. will close down two blocks between Dartmouth and Berkeley streets on Gladstone’s downtown main street. Dozens of vendors, along with our Art Club’s booth, are expected to participate.
