cheer team wins

Congratulations to our Gladstone High School cheer team for winning the Oregon School Activities Association state championship for the seventh year in a row. The dedication of these coaches and student-athletes has paid off with their first-place trophy in February.

Seven straight doesn’t happen by accident.

It happens at 6 a.m.

It happens in the second practice of the day.

It happens when no one is watching.

Endless thank you to our choreographer Tara Mahoney for pouring your heart into this routine. We are who we are because of you.

Shoutout to our four-time state champions, GHS seniors Bailey Oelke and Blake McKinnis. What a legacy. What leaders. What an honor to watch you grow.

Lastly, we dedicated this performance to our teammate, GHS junior Haven Flett, who was injured mid-season. This championship is yours too.
