Title I
The Gladstone School District loves volunteers and will offer many volunteer opportunities throughout the 2023-24 school year, at each of our four schools!
If you are interested in volunteering, you will need to complete an updated 2023-24 School Year Volunteer Background Check - yes, even if you did one last year!
Volunteer opportunities will vary by school:
At the Gladstone Center for Children and Families & John Wetten Elementary we need volunteers for field trips, classroom help, photocopying and materials prep, small group reading, math intervention, library help, Backpack Buddies, Lunch Buddies, after school clubs, crafting and decorating bulletin boards, picture day helpers, school events and more.
At Kraxberger Middle School volunteers are needed for after school clubs, photocopying and materials prep, field trips, fundraising through the Parent Faculty Organization, tutoring and mentoring programs.
At Gladstone High School volunteers are needed for academic tutoring, and college and career mentoring. GHS also needs volunteers interested in joining Boosters!
Once your background check has cleared, you will be contacted by Ginger Zimtbaum, the district’s new volunteer coordinator, to identify your specific volunteer interests, and get you scheduled for training and volunteering.
If you have questions, you may call 503-656-6564 x265, or email zimtbaumg@gladstone.k12.or.us.
