This educational assistant has one of the toughest jobs at John Wetten Elementary, supervising lunch and recess—where students practice friendships, solve conflicts and learn important social skills. Tina Brady approaches every challenge with patience, flexibility and an unwavering commitment to students.
She recently helped launch our Fancy Lunch celebrations, dedicated time to learning and implementing Playworks to create more engaging recess experiences, and played a key role in organizing and supporting our Gladstone High School tutors. Her leadership, organization and servant’s heart have made a lasting impact on our school community.
She doesn't seek recognition, but she is well deserving of our school district’s Making a Difference Award. She leads by example, lifts others up and makes John Wetten Elementary a better place every single day.
Six staff members in the Gladstone School District won awards and $250 each at the beginning of the school year. Thank a Teacher awards are funded through an endowment from former Gladstone High School Principal Dick Baker, and three annual Making a Difference awards for support staff are funded by an anonymous donor.
