We recently received a thank-you note from Ronald McDonald House Oregon for the $1,296 that Gladstone High School students donated to the nonprofit organization. The students chose to donate to the nonprofit after they raised the money through bake sales and through providing child care during a Parents Night Out event. The Parents Night Out part of the donation was from both GHS Key Club and Oregon City High School Key Club, with a big assist from the Kiwanis Club of Gladstone/Oak Grove.
"It's thanks to folks like you that we're able to provide rooms, meals, experiences, programming and support to families with sick or injured children all at NO COST to them. A donation like yours makes a huge impact towards making that all possible," wrote Danny Harris, Ronald McDonald House community engagement manager.
