It was bittersweet this morning for Gladstone Superintendent Jeremiah Patterson to announce to school district staff that he has accepted a job as assistant superintendent of the Tigard-Tualatin School District.
Patterson has served Gladstone as superintendent (since 2024), assistant superintendent (since 2016) and as John Wetten Elementary’s assistant principal (2006-08), when he took part in the planning of the Gladstone Center for Children & Families. His many years as a Gladstone schools administrator have focused on collaborative leadership, instructional improvement and strengthening partnerships with staff, families and the broader community.
“I treasure my time in Gladstone, and I will dearly miss all of the students, staff and community I have been blessed to know,” he said.
Patterson made his announcement the morning after the Gladstone School Board discussed a road map for the district’s long-term financial health. More communication will be forthcoming about the details of that plan.
Patterson expects to transition to the TTSD role at a point to be determined this spring; keep an eye out for additional community leadership updates soon.
