gladstone high school students on Broadway

From March 14-28, Gladstone High School East Coast Trip students and staff visited Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg, Monticello, Pennsylvania, New York City and Washington D.C.

At the U.S. capitol, they sat in the Senate gallery, saw the beauty of the Library of Congress, walked Arlington National Cemetery and participated in a Wreath Laying Ceremony. In addition, they have visited numerous museums, including the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and the African American History Museum. They have visited William and Mary College and sat in the oldest college classroom and the University of Virginia.

While in Amish country in Bird-in-Hand, Pennsylvania for a few days, students learned about Amish and Mennonite cultures and ate some amazing food. It was then off to Philadelphia for a visit to the Constitution Center to learn more about what “We the People” truly means.
