Police chief during Everybody Reads Day

Everybody had a great time during the March 7 Everybody Reads Day at John Wetten Elementary. Thank you to everyone from city staff, local businesses and school board members for volunteering time to read to students, along with Clackamas Bookshelf for donating so every student could take a free book home.

Then, Wetten Elementary hosted a Career Day on April 11 to introduce students to various professionals in the community. Thank you to all the busy professionals who took time out of their schedules to talk with students at JWE.

Career Day is always a highlight for students to start dreaming about potential paths after graduation. Students also have the option to dress for their chosen career, which gives the school day a fun costume theme.
