Special Services
Gladstone School District embraces an “inclusive education philosophy” where all students are welcomed into their neighborhood schools and special education services are designed and delivered within the least restrictive environment. Students with special needs attend their neighborhood school along with siblings and peers. Special education services are incorporated into the student’s daily routine and can be provided in a whole group, small group or individualized setting. Goals and supports for each student are outlined in their Individual Education Plan (IEP) which is developed by a team including the parents, school staff, and often, the student.
